What a great idea, its simple but effective. I like public art that has that “thats a neat idea” feel about it.

That’s pretty cool. Not much use here in the UK tho, we get about 4 hours sunlight a year. the rest of the time it’s grey, overcast and gllomy.

Why is there always a guy that says that? That must be a cult or something.
SOME DUDE: “OMG!!! There’s a fire over there!!!”
PHOTOSHOP DUDE: “That’s photoshoped, dont bother. That guy trying to jump from the window. He’s not really on fire.”

People whose only comment about interesting, inventive things that take time, effort and intelligence to create is “Photoshopped” should be castrated. Then thrown off a cliff.

I see no need to castrate them first!
Actually, the idea behind this sculpture is not all that hard to figure out. It’s just ust holes at different angles…
So Peter might be dumb enough to walk off the cliff himself…

Very cool and definitely not “Photochopped” . Just take a look at the time lapse video above. Takes a while to get the whole poem though lol

If people stopped reacting to someone saying “photoshopped” to something that clearly wasn’t maybe they’d stop doing it.
Just a thought…

That is incredibly cool. Unfortunately I don’t think we could pull anything like that off here in Texas, at least not in summer – the heat from the sun would probably cause the projector thing to burst into flames or something.
Okay, I’m exagerrating. But only a little.

makes me think about art on really long timescales.

Um, Big Tex,
The “projector” is just a bunch of well placed holes in the panels. While I am sure many things burst into flames in Texas, I would assume wooden panels or fiberglass just in the sunlight should not.

This was a fantastic thesis by Jiyeon. I know for a fact it wasn’t photoshopped because I helped her bolt the thing together one day to test it. Sorry you’ve lost faith in design project documentation.
