Last weekend was the Eastside Culture Crawl. I had a lot of fun meeting hundreds of people, talking about art, whales and clouds. The turnout was amazing despite the cold weather. I wish we had a couple more events like these in the city.
Andrea‘s wall was super rad as always :

Angelica, my other studio-mate, had some awesome landscape paintings :

We also had a wall showcasing our prints :

Now I’m inspired and full of new ideas. Time to work even harder I guess.

I’ve been working on some small drawings.
In other news, I’ll be opening up my studio space at the Eastside Culture Crawl(Nov 18 ~ 20). If you’re in town, come say hi! You can meet my studiomates, Andrea Wan & Angelica Jang as well.

Beautiful paintings by Finnish artist, Jaakko Mattila.
Wow. It’ll be years before I get my hands on one of these, but in the meantime I guess I can still admire the craftsmanship that goes into making them.
Jeff Staple just updated his 1-2-1 series with a James Jean interview. I’ve always enjoyed James Jean’s illustrations and paintings. In the past few years James has slowly transitioned into the fine arts world, and it’s interesting to hear him talk about that transition in the interview.
P.S. I’m super jealous of his studio space…
